Microbial Contamination, Detection and Remediation

This presentation was given at the STI / SPFA Annual Meeting held January 28-29, 2017, in Naples, FL. This presentation elucidates how the national health policy, a changing national fuel pool, and an industry delivery system have possibly contributed to the phenomena of accelerated corrosion of underground storage tanks (USTs), dispensers as well as vehicle fuel systems. There is additional discussion regarding the detection, especially and remediation with discussion of microbial contamination.
