HY-LiTE® PLUS PEN TEST KIT

Adenosine Tri Phosphate or ATP is a molecule used for energy transport within all living cells. ATP is a substance found in all animal and vegetable matter, including food and food debris, in addition to bacteria, fungi, and other micro-organisms. The amount of ATP in a sample indicates the current biological activity and biomass in the sample at the time of measurement, i.e. the immediate biological contamination (and damage potential) in the system. APPLICATION: The HY-LiTE® Plus Test is intended for detection of ATP in samples where higher than usual levels of inhibition are suspended such as paints and coatings, metalworking fluids, hydraulic fluids, activated sludge (waste water treatment) and similar. The HY-LiTE® Plus Pen can be used to test biocide efficacy. This method can be used to demonstrate the speed and mode of action of different biocides. You will also need a HY-LiTE® Free ATP Pen to perform test.
