  Kathon® FP 1.5 Military

Kathon® FP1.5 is specifically tested and approved under MIL-S-53021 for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense and is one part of a two part stability additive package that also includes the diesel fuel stability additive LTSA-35A. In accordance with MIL-S-53021, Kathon® FP1.5 is added to diesel fuel to eliminate the presence of bacteria, yeast and mold to protect the fuel system from failure and corrosion to fuel-wetted surfaces. Primarily, this product is for the treatment of fuel in depot facilities where vehicles and equipment are in re-build or storage, pre-positioned material at location involving storage of equipment partially or fully fueled, and fuel stocks intended for intermediate storage of 6-24 months or long-term storage of 25-60 months

Kathon® FP 1.5 is classified as a “broad-spectrum” microbicide with a “quick kill time”, superior chemistry to keep fuel systems in service and free from the deleterious effects of biological growth. Kathon® FP1.5 is also easy for Service Maintenance Personnel to use. Kathon® FP 1.5 has obtained numerous approvals from leading aircraft engines and airframe manufacturers.

Check your system for microbial contamination using one of our easy to use microbial test kits. These kits require no prior laboratory experience. Kathon® FP1.5 can be added to a system immediately or after a fuel system cleaning using a fuel filtration unit or fuel additive injection units (FAU) built and supported by Fuel Quality Services, Inc.
